I remember going to Kew Gardens a few years ago and they had an amazing outdoor walking trail for kids. The child in me loved it! It was a bare-footed walk which brought my partner and me through water, rocks, sand, mud and wood. As I walked all my senses came to life like they never have before. The scent from the trees and flowers, the taste of the air, the touch of the change in the ground beneath my feet. It was all amazing, and it inspired me to write this meditation.
Meditation for senses
Nice stones or crystals
Nice smelling things like coffee beans
Ideas of your own
A cushion to sit on
Sit in a comfortable, cross-legged position or on a chair. Clear the energetic space around you with something like a meditation spray or some incense. It is also good to ask whatever you believe in to watch over you. If you are not sure you can always ask for the highest vibrational light to watch over you as you do this meditation.
Next hold the first fabric or object in your hands, smell it, with total awareness touch its , see how it feels to the touch and the beauty of what it looks like.
Be totally mesmerised by it and feel the connection with you, the oneness and how, like the object, you are love. Continue for a few minutes and the switch objects.
Before repeating the above again, think of the beauty held within the differences between the objects or fabrics. When it comes to fabrics I also like to touch them with my eyes closed and see them through their texture.
Maybe switch to smelling a flower or the oils. Whatever brings your senses alive!
Continue for 3-30 minutes of your time
To end, thank the objects and sit quietly in your own skin for as long as you need.
This meditation is a great way of connecting with all your senses!
I would love to hear how you get on with it.
